The Redistribution of Serviceable Spares (RSS) function enables a critical use case specifically for large airlines operating several hubs, with maintenance bases at multiple locations. It enables a User to come up with re-balancing (RSS transfer) recommendations (to move units from a lower risk to a higher risk location) and to determine to which location an incoming repaired, procured or loaned part should actually be routed. The aim is to avoid as much as possible situations where spare parts are available but not at the right location.
